  Programs for All Students

Old Book
  Introduction

The arts are worth studying for their own sake and value. Each art form has the ability to connect and influence all peoples and cultures, entertain, express emotion, communicate, persuade and develop awareness of heritage, history and traditions. Fine Arts courses allow students to explore and develop their creativity. The mastery of skills associated with each art form teach students how to deal with obstacles and turn them into opportunities and to persist when challenges arise. Students develop critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills. The Fine Arts are essential to mastery of core content knowledge and closely linked with college and career readiness and success.
